What guidelines or requirements apply to system installation?

Reserving Companies must be qualified as a Solar Thermal Partner by Renewable Energy Vermont (REV) for solar hot water system installations; for a list of Partners, please visit here. Alternatively, Reserving Companies must be qualified as a Preferred Biomass Installer by the Renewable Energy Resource Center for advanced wood heating system installations; for a list of Companies, please visit here. The Reserving Company must oversee system design and installation and identify, by name and title, the person that installs each project (hereinafter, Installer). The Installer (either and employee of the Reserving Company or under contract by the Reserving Partner) must have expertise in the design and installation of the relevant type of system and must provide on-site review of the installation and be on-site to complete the final inspection before commissioning.

All systems must be installed in accordance with manufacturer's recommendations and all applicable local, state, and federal codes and permits. Solar hot water systems must be installed in accordance with the Vermont Plumbing Rules.
