Incentives are reserved on a first-come first-served basis. For more information on system and customer eligibility, please review each technology’s SSREIP Terms, Conditions, and Requirements (found under Application Documents).

Eligibility

For full Small Scale Renewable Energy Incentive Program (SSREIP) policies and procedures, please see the SSREIP Terms, Conditions, and Requirements found .

  • Incentives are for new evaporators that completely replace oil, propane or cord wood fired units with wood pellet or wood chip fired units (cord/chunk wood fired systems are ineligible for this incentive). The installed unit must be the sole source of maple syrup production.
  • This incentive is available for existing sugaring operations only.
  • Customers must have already installed reverse osmosis units.
  • Incentives are available only for projects that use new, factory-produced equipment.
  • Maximum incentive amount is $20,000 or 50% of total installed cost, whichever is less, inclusive of all state funds for the evaporator pan.

Efficiency Vermont also has rebates available for Reverse Osmosis Systems, Steam-Enhanced Pre-Heaters, VFDs for Sap Vacuum Pumps, and energy efficient LEDs. Efficiency Vermont also partners with Vermont State Employees Credit Union to provide loans to agricultural producers for qualifying energy efficiency improvements.
